Asian Breakfast can be a bit 'hit and miss.
Rice soup is usually mild, confused and terrible. Only the rice and water.
Then you get into the 'pre-coffee mode tortured "by a wonderful variety of ingredients unlawful search and unusual side dishes to choose it in a landfill.
It 's a bit like learning to a level ........ Sitting on the seat and the pilot to fly blindly throws on the panel.
It should not be so.
In fact it cando "ready to eat" and to serve fully garnished.
Southeast States Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Asian countries have their own preferences and taste the soup base with lots of options, so as not to offend anyone served.
Not me.
I have no problem with offending people - I am a cook! Bring it on.
I just want my family to keep the punters happy - I'm not complaining about the crowd by eating elsewhere.
That's all pleasing to the palate, here and now -undiluted and generalized, all happy.
Lets make a simple recipe right here and now that you have your lips smacking.
Easy Khao Tom (Thai rice soup) recipe
Water or broth (about 1 liter / 4 cups) Steamed rice (4:03 cup) Minced pork (OK - or chicken or prawns) 110g or 1 / 4 pounds Knorr, Maggi, Ros Dee, or your favorite stock powder (should be your meat, vegetables or seafood ingredient) Salt White pepper, ground Fried garlic chopped (for garnish) FreshChopped cilantro (for garnish)
Place the cold or warm water in a pot with the cooked rice (jasmine steamed). Add the minced pork or chicken. (If using seafood, do not add end) Stir or whisk to break the cut into small pieces. Not too bulky. Add a little 'dust stock and a bit' of salt Simmer for about 30 minutes, until rice has started to break up soft and light. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
If using shrimp orseafood instead of pork chop or chicken add them to buy. they just need a minute copuple. If you cook fish too long, it becomes dry and powdery.
You can chop or mince shrimp, or just the basic ones, and the sheath and boil them together.
That's it.
Serve in a bowl and top with roasted garlic and fresh coriander.
